            term PRN
   Peds     100-200 mcg (1-2 puffs) PRN via spacer

            inhalation, one inhalation (100 mcg) or two inhalations up to 4 times a day for
            persistent symptoms", metered dose inhaler 0.1 mg/dose; children under 12 years the
            same, maximum 800 micrograms daily. GINA 2023 is not held in this corpus.
   Why      Short-acting beta-2 agonist bronchodilator for immediate relief of work-related
            bronchospasm; removal from the causative workplace agent remains the key intervention,
            this is rescue symptom control.
   Caution  Complete and early removal from exposure to the workplace sensitizing agent is the key
            intervention.
            Overuse (>2 canisters/year) indicates inadequate controller therapy and increased
            exacerbation risk.

   Why      Inhaled corticosteroid providing regular anti-inflammatory maintenance control of airway
            inflammation in occupational asthma while exposure and specialist review are addressed.
   Caution  Rinse mouth with water and spit out after inhalation to prevent oral candidiasis and
            dysphonia.
